Euro 2024 qualifying: Haaland brace as Norway beat Cyprus
Scots secure qualification despite dramatic finale
Manchester City striker scored twice in comfortable win
Manchester City striker Erling Haaland scored twice as Norway secured a routine home win in their Euro 2024 qualifier against Cyprus. The towering striker netted either side of half-time to put Norway in control of the Group G clash in Oslo.
In a separate match, Scotland celebrated qualification for Euro 2024 despite conceding a late equalizer against Norway. The Scots had looked set to secure top spot in the group with a 2-0 lead, but a late strike from Haaland earned Norway a share of the spoils.
Ewan Murray was at Hampden Park to report on the action, and he described the atmosphere as "electric" despite the late disappointment. "The fans were incredible," Murray said. "They never stopped singing and cheering, even after Norway scored their late goal. It was a special night for Scottish football."
