AJ Brown: Eagles' Star Wide Receiver Signs $96 Million Extension
Eagles WR Receives Lucrative Deal After Record-Breaking Season
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown has signed a three-year, $96 million contract extension, according to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport. The deal comes after Brown's breakout season in Philadelphia, where he set the franchise record for most receptions in a season.
Extension Details
The contract is reportedly worth up to $96 million, with $57 million guaranteed at signing. The deal includes a $20 million signing bonus, the largest ever given to an Eagles wide receiver. Brown is now one of the highest-paid wide receivers in the NFL.
Historic Season with Eagles
Brown joined the Eagles in 2022 after a trade from the Tennessee Titans. In his first season with Philadelphia, he led the team in receptions (106), receiving yards (1,496), and touchdowns (11). He also broke the Eagles' single-season record for receptions, previously held by Mike Quick.
Trade from Titans
The Eagles acquired Brown from the Titans in exchange for a first-round pick and a third-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. The trade was met with mixed reactions at the time, but Brown has since proven to be a valuable asset for the Eagles.
