Aja Wilson Wins League's Top Honor

Las Vegas Aces Star Earns MVP After Leading Team to Title

MVP Award Caps Off a Brilliant Season for Wilson

Las Vegas Aces center Aja Wilson has been named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the 2020 WNBA season, the league announced today. Wilson led the Aces to their first championship in franchise history, averaging 18.9 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks per game during the regular season. She also had several key performances in the playoffs, including a 30-point, 21-rebound game in Game 5 of the WNBA Finals against the Connecticut Sun.

Wilson's MVP award is the culmination of a remarkable season for both her and the Aces. The Aces finished the regular season with a 15-5 record, the best in the league, and they cruised through the playoffs, losing only one game.

Wilson's performance in the WNBA Finals was particularly impressive. She averaged 23.6 points, 11.6 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks per game in the series, and she was a key factor in the Aces' 3-1 victory over the Sun.

Wilson is the first Aces player to win the MVP award, and she is the second player in WNBA history to win the MVP and the championship in the same season. She is also the youngest player to win the MVP award since Maya Moore in 2014.
